Whether we look at it from a science fiction or allegory perspective, we can't ignore the author's idea of using the "magic mushroom" to connect the whole book.

"Stubbornness will only cause you to lose more." (From "The Magic Mushroom")

"Two glowing mushrooms intertwined, surrounded by a white light." (The King's New Mushroom)

"There are countless magic mushrooms in hell...and all lustful people want to possess them." (From "Cupid, Psyche and Amasha's Mushrooms")

"Young man, don't let your own folly ruin your life." (The Ghost of the Heart)

"Do not repeat the same mistake, and do not let selfishness and desire lead you down the path of destruction." (The Mystery of Atlantis)

Everyone has their own "magic mushroom," which makes us obsessed, foolish, bewitched, and filled with desire, blinding us to the beauty and goodness in human relationships and the noble values of life. How should we deal with that "mushroom" in our hearts? Perhaps we can gain some insight by reading the stories in books!

[Interview with Joke Lau, Director of Original Space]

Coincidentally, *Magic Offline—Mushroom 5* is a fairytale-like novel with humans as the main characters. Each story is connected to magic, incorporating science fiction, mythology, legends, and war. The endings are all poignant, like fairytales, prompting repeated reflection and contemplation. Perhaps you'll find that the endings, at their core, reveal the end of desire, a bittersweet experience. Essentially, the five authors want us to understand that the mushroom of desire is deeply rooted in the human heart; it doesn't need to be sought externally, but rather should be eradicated as quickly as possible.
