Benny B.M.'s novel The Killing Return

Return of the Killer

Mysterious Explosion in a Post-Apocalyptic Otherworld

Awakening latent carnage signifies the rebirth of evil.

He unleashed his supernatural power, slowly devouring the unconscious assailant lying on the ground...

Quetzalcoatl, an ancient Mexican god, was benevolent and wise, revered as the "God of Peace." Sadly, his benevolence left behind an indelible regret, imbuing humanity with evil blood and making them descendants of evil. He promised to return to earth thousands of years later to eradicate evil. However, will his return bring salvation? Destruction? Or...?

A battle for revenge unveils a different truth about the apocalypse.

Who is righteous and who is evil? It's difficult to define the boundary between good and evil.

During a special mission, members of the Secret Service are subjected to a series of mysterious and deadly attacks, their deaths gruesome. The surviving detective, Horn, is critically injured and falls into a coma, making the truth of the incident impossible to uncover. The Secret Service is forced to focus its investigation on the evil criminal organization, the "Quizalcoatl Cult." Simultaneously, the notorious detective Situ Lingyu, under attack from "Viking" and "Black Widow," unleashes a tremendous power, ultimately being swept into a mysterious post-apocalyptic alien world during the ensuing battle. While the Secret Service dispatches a rescue team led by Zhai Jing to pursue Lingyu, the organization also lays down a series of cruel traps in this alien world.

At this moment, a terrifying, gluttonous force gradually awakens, and the bloodthirsty, evil offspring viciously devour everything that opposes "him".

Trial Reading

[Hong Kong writer Li Guangfeng]

I've always been interested in horror movies and TV series, especially those with imaginative and profound themes. Literary creation offers limitless possibilities, making it difficult to write well, and even more difficult to write in one sitting. Unfortunately, Hong Kong horror novels rarely inspire a desire to continue reading, but Bi Ming's works possess that very quality that compels you to keep reading. So, when I received the manuscript, I read it right away.

Thriller novels are difficult to write; to make them captivating and suspenseful is even harder. Bi Ming's new work, *Return of the Killer*, is full of storytelling and layers of mysterious charm. Besides imaginative content, factual information and materials are also crucial in a novel. Writing style and plot are key to its appeal, and conveying the boundless imagery behind the words is a vital technique. *Return of the Killer* combines legend with fiction, gradually drawing the reader into the heart of the story. As you read, scenes from the book unfold in your mind, like watching a movie—a technique I particularly love.

Bi Ming's works have always attracted a broad readership. This work attempts to add cinematic elements, using clever camera angles to capture the characters' every move during thrilling scenes. If you enjoy detective-style suspense stories, you'll not only love this work, but you'll also be eager to read the author's next book.

Of all of Bi Ming's works, this is my personal favorite, and its cinematic feel is probably a major factor. From beginning to end, the book's pace is incredibly fast and engaging, with vividly described scenes that make you feel like you're constantly following the protagonist through the story. It took me half a day to finish this book before I felt truly satisfied.

What you'll find inside is not just a series of thrills and love stories, but also a thought-provoking tale.

[Chris, a reader from Hong Kong]

At birth, humanity is inherently good or evil, supported by various accounts and examples. As we grow, influenced by environment, those around us, events, and our own thoughts, we can be either righteous or wicked, or even indistinguishable between the two! In a perilous situation, with a partner injured, what choice should one make? Should one share the burden or abandon the partner? Difficult! And the partner? Even more difficult! And the world? Difficult beyond difficulty! What will Ling Yu choose? It's impossible to predict! Right thoughts, mad actions—is it good or evil? Or is it donning the robes of a god to conceal the incarnation of Satan, or is a split personality drowning out his true nature? Perhaps it's both, perhaps not; in truth, he resembles Zeus more than anything else! Only Ling Yu knows the truth!
