Unraveling the mystery of the Mayan 2012 doomsday prophecy

A chilling horror novel featuring a new comet – Bi Ming

A rare display of writing prowess in recent years

An absolutely thrilling and shocking reading experience.

Doomsday catastrophe, earth-shattering battles, tragic showdowns.

The ancient Maya, through meticulous calculations, predicted that December 23, 2012, would be the end of the fifth solar cycle, or the end of the world. Would it be icebergs melting and flooding the Earth? Global wildfires? Nuclear war? Biological warfare? Meteorites hitting the Earth? Or…?

On the eve of Christmas, a violent crime occurred at Hong Kong Police Headquarters, where a group of well-trained officers were murdered in unprecedented brutality. Chi-ki, a close friend of Serious Crimes Unit Commander Szeto Ling-yu, was severely injured and fell into a coma during the incident. She vowed to avenge her friend by killing the perpetrators. Simultaneously, multiple dismemberment cases occurred throughout Hong Kong, with the victims including a top henchman of a human smuggling gang.

Because all the crime scenes left behind a six-pointed star, snake-skin, human-shaped bloodstain totem, Ling Yu decided to investigate Professor Jia Li, a leading authority on ancient cultural totemology. However, he discovered that Professor Jia Li's friend, Mesoamerican archaeology expert Gao Ze Guangji, and his entire family had been brutally murdered twenty years prior, leaving behind only their eight-year-old son. Meanwhile, Zhi Qi, who was in the hospital, suffered an accident, and Situ Ling Yu finally faced the evil son...

[Author's Preface]

The enthusiastic support from the audience for the previous great play "1414" finally allowed me to pick up my pen again and direct a new "thrilling theater" play, "The Last Killer 2012".

As the producer and director of Hong Kong's first "Thriller Theater," I was recently kept being questioned by a writer friend. He was curious about how brave a writer who could write such terrifying thriller novels really was in real life.

This is a difficult question to answer because since I was born, I have never seriously measured how big or heavy my courage is, or even whether I have grown a single hair on it. But one thing is certain: I am actually very afraid of ghosts, and even more afraid of one day coming home late at night to find a jumping zombie, or a zombie with a mouth full of blood and holding terrifying limbs.

What does this mean?

It's not hard to understand. Think about it: in general, people who encounter ghosts, are possessed, or are bewitched by ghosts don't die immediately. At least the victim has some time to find a sorcerer or exorcist to help exorcise the evil spirit. But if you encounter a mindless, emotionless, and bloodthirsty zombie like those in the movies, you can only hope for the best and that they have a poor appetite tonight.

Of course, the fact that I can direct a new "horror theater" here today proves that I have not yet had the chance to meet or greet those "corpses." But I know in my heart that under the threat of high-tech weapons in the 21st century, humanity will always have the opportunity to encounter "corpses" that are different from ordinary people, and may even be forced to become a part of them.

Is it alarmist talk? Or just sensationalism? Let everyone draw their own conclusions!

But at least I know fear and understand the source of fear, so after 1414, I can take everyone into another terrifying country, to experience cruelty and terror, and to discover some forgotten truths.

To scare others, you must first scare yourself. I was so terrified while producing "The Last Killer 2012" that I couldn't sleep for a long time. What about you? Are you mentally prepared to enter the terrifying world I'm writing about with me?

Not yet? Come on! Don't be afraid, close your eyes with me, then take a deep breath, and repeat this action ten times... Does it feel any better? No? It feels like there's a sense of unease weighing on your heart?

That's right, because you've unknowingly entered the world of "Theatre of Fame," hehe... there's no turning back, no room for choice! From now on, all you can do is enjoy this great show!
