I have never had the chance to formally meet the author of this book, Bi Ming. However, I occasionally notice his novels in the paranormal section of bookstores.
I am delighted to have received Bi Ming's invitation to write the preface for this book, "Terror Tide".
Looking back, when I invited others to write prefaces for my works, these individuals were always representative and of great significance to me. I empathize with this, and I believe Bi Ming felt the same way. In his new work, "Terror Tide," he placed my preface first, and I believe my preface was equally important to him.
I really like the book title, "Terror Tide." As someone who has hosted paranormal programs for over ten years, I no longer know what "tide" means.
"Trendy" implies leading trends, and to be truly terrifying in a trendy way, his new work is something I, someone with extensive life experience, am really looking forward to. It will feature the latest plot—being haunted by a female ghost—as well as ghost stories that explore issues related to school children, which I believe will definitely bring readers a refreshing experience.
I really hope that Bi Ming—this new generation of paranormal novelist—can bring readers a fresh perspective on horror.
As for me? I'm no longer "trendy," but I will continue to use my experience and extensive knowledge of ghosts to delve deeper into the mysteries of the underworld.
Biming, let's meet again sometime!

People with heart conditions should absolutely not read Bi Ming's books; they'll be so terrified they'll lose all the flesh from their nostrils, turn purple, and have a heart attack. I never imagined short horror stories could be this terrifying. What's even more remarkable is that each one contains a deeper meaning, like the hidden gems within the hidden gems of Dragon Ball, enticing me to slowly peel back the layers of the onion to see what's inside.
The strange classmate in "Dinner" is someone you see a lot of in real life. These kinds of classmates are silent and unassuming, like ants, completely inconspicuous. I remember in elementary school, I was the class monitor, and one classmate didn't sing the school song during morning assembly. When I noticed, I punished him by making him stand outside the principal's office. At the time, I felt incredibly righteous. But the model student in the story amplifies his concern to an extreme, and his self-righteous righteousness ultimately leads to a bloody ending—something worth pondering. Fortunately, my elementary school classmates weren't like Huang Jiaru...
Bi Ming is a rare talent. His terrifying works offer plenty of food for thought. One story made me think of endless endings. A master!
