[Hong Kong bestselling author Tian Hang]

For Hong Kong readers, this type of novel is not mainstream. There are few professional writers who want to write it, and even fewer who can write it. Those who can imitate a tiger are rare, while those who resemble a dog are numerous.

Bi Ming is a skilled writer, and his writing has a distinctive personal style, which is enough to prove his creative talent.

If it were me, I couldn't write on this subject. This isn't humility; it's simply that my abilities are limited. Every author has a genre of fiction that resonates with their soul, and those capable of crossing those boundaries are a drop in the ocean, extremely rare. As far as I know, only Bi Ming has the courage to challenge this genre and persevere. Therefore, if one day Bi Ming becomes a renowned author that everyone talks about, I won't be surprised at all. I'm writing this as proof.

[Hong Kong campus novelist Che Ren]

I've been watching Bi Ming create this 2012 apocalypse series for five years now. I've witnessed the birth of each protagonist in the story, like one new face after another appearing in my life. Through the story, I've gotten to know them, understood their inner world, and gradually developed a deep affection for them.

Even now, my favorite character remains the bearded, straightforward, and courageous detective Howard. Actually, I was initially very opposed to Howard's involvement in this terrifying thriller, since he's also the male lead in a novel I co-authored with Bi Ming, "Seven Days Inn: Encounters in Jiurufang." I was afraid Howard's character development in this book would affect the fate of the Jiurufang characters, but Bi Ming insisted on a crossover! (Poor Jiurufang residents were literally blown to smithereens by Bi Ming… Waaah…)

Many years ago, Bi Ming had a strong interest in the Mayan legends. His worldview was extraordinarily vast. He liked to put together strange things from all over the world and then use the legends as a blueprint to conceive this series of fantastical novels about the end times. He gradually opened up a boundless new world, as if he had planned to write until the moment before the end of the world from the very beginning!

In this age of information overload, the path of writing is not easy. As a close friend of Bi Ming, I know firsthand the indescribable pressure and harsh blows he encountered while writing this 400,000-word work. Bi Ming told me, "No matter how difficult it is, I don't want to give up... That's life." Only unwavering faith and an indomitable spirit could bring this exquisitely crafted story, which depicts the complexities of human nature, to a perfect conclusion. Those who are willing to pursue their dreams without expecting anything in return are, I believe, the happiest people.

[Edited by Riyuetang]

Bi Ming created a classic work of Hong Kong literature that subverted the apocalyptic myth.

[Shrimp, a reader from Texas, USA]

Reading Bi Ming's series is the most impactful for me, prompting me to reflect on my own mistakes and learn from them in my conduct.

[Hong Kong illustrator Ah Chu]

Brother Bi Ming's writing is vigorous and powerful, depicting human nature without reservation. He uses bloodshed and violence as a cover, but contains a sense of righteousness. I have said before that Bi Ming's works are like Xiao Feng in Jin Yong's novels, with powerful punches and kicks, without being pretentious or artificial, but bold and unrestrained. Every time I read his works, I feel a sense of exhilaration.

[Hong Kong reader Ho Chiang]

Reading about the love between Tong Lesheng and Wen Yi, the familial bond between Howard and Horn, and the friendship between Situ Lingyu and Zhiqi, I realize that they all have different reasons for yearning for power. I think that emotion is the source of power for the main characters in this series.

[Chris, a reader from Hong Kong]

Having finished reading the first volume of "The Terminator," I felt a strong sense of realism in the book. What was even more shocking were the scenes of disaster, as if I were there myself—facing the devastation and witnessing fellow refugees being instantly killed by natural disasters and attacked by zombies. Even more terrifying was the nature of humanity: selfishness, suspicion, and distrust...

I believe only animation can become a movie; live-action is impossible! But movies only have a three-tier rating system, so how do I rate it? If I cut these elements, it becomes unappealing and not a masterpiece! If I don't cut them, how can it be shown? This idea has been on my mind ever since the author revealed his hope to make it into a movie! I'm overthinking it; the author has repeatedly reminded readers to enjoy the reading experience! I'll just be a good reader, enjoy it, and not think about anything else! I'm mentally prepared for the next volume and eagerly anticipating it.
